I am an associate of USANA and you can be one too. We can consider each associate to have a “business center”. One business center has two “legs” which means that you can sponsor directly under you 2 business centers one on each side of you (right and left(
Once an associate activates their own business center they can begin to generate what is called Sales Volume Points (SVP) these points are earned through product orders placed for your personal consumption and for your customers. In addition you can enroll associates that will be placed under your business center

You will see in Figure 2 that BC 001 your business center has a left and a right branch. You begin by placing one new associate on your left and another on your right. Maybe Jill is a neighbor and maybe Bob is a coworker. Nevertheless Jill and Bob will be able to generate sales volume from their own sales for their own customers and their personal consumption. These orders will be made directly to USANA and delivered right to their doorstep, so you don’t have to worry about inventory or delivery of products.
Now Jill begins talking to people about USANA and pretty soon will be able to bring in John on her left and Sarah on her right of her own business center and possibly more people after that. Not only will you be receiving commissionable sales volume points from the orders that Jill and Bob make but you will also receive sales volume points from all the people who are coming in below Jill and Bob who generate their own sales.
This usually brings up the most common question from new associates–What if Bob or someone else you bring into the business comes into USANA and doesn’t build his business. This situation will not penalize you at all. The next person you personally sponsor can be placed below Bob let’s call her Jan. You can work with her directly to help her build a business below Bob and the sales volume that she generates can come right through Bob to help you earn commissions. And if bob decides to get active and build his other leg then he will begin to build commission checks as well.
That’s what’s so great about the USANA compensation plan–we’re not limited to levels, instead we get paid on volume in our organization no matter the depth of the organization you only need to go TWO wide. So when you bring in new people after your first two associates who also generate volume, you’re helping out other people in your team and they’re doing the same for you.

Figure 3 explains USANA’s payout schedule. Active associates in compliance with their associate agreement are eligible to earn commissions based on volume earned in their organization. You can see here if you have a minimum of 250 sales points on your left and 250 on your right you will earn a 40 point commission check.
If you earn 500 on the left and 500 on the right you get a 100 point commission check. For 1000 left and 1000 right you will earn a 200 point check. This continues to grow along with our business up till 5000 points on each side. The reason you generate sales volume POINTS for selling product and generate commission POINTS for payout is because USANA is a seamless international company. In the US commission points are EQUAL to US dollars, but USANA does business in many other countries and the price per point and payout per point changes depending on which country you live in based on exchange rates. You can earn commissions from sales volume from associates in Canada, New Zealand, England, or anywhere else in the network.

Now look at Figure 4 to see how you can earn commissions and how carryover volumes are calculated. Let’s say Jill and her entire team of associates and customers have generated 3500 points on your left side, and on your right side you will see bob and his team have generated 2500 points in the same week.
If you look at the pay scale in Figure 3, you’ve reached a minimum of 2000 points on each side. You will receive a 400 point commission check. USANA will then deduct the 2000 points which you were just paid out of your left and right sides, as in Figure 4. The carryover volume up to 5000 points that you haven’t been paid on rolls over to the following week. You then have 1500 points on your left and 500 on the right that would carry over to the following week. The new total adds to the carryover volume and you earn a commission check based on the new total, so even if nothing happens the following week, you can see that you will still earn a 100 point commission check, because you still have a minimum of 500 left and 500 right.
Because of the power of duplication you can see exponential growth happening in your business. You can begin to be rewarded not only for your efforts but also the efforts of others in your organization. Now you will probably talk to people who are not interested in the business but have a huge interest in USANA’s awesome products. You can either sell the products directly to these customers and keep the difference between wholesale and retail price, or as you can see in Figure 5.

Preferred customers can be enrolled for free and are allowed to buy USANA products at wholesale prices, the same price associates pay. There is no limit to how many you can enroll and they can be placed on either side of your organization. Orders placed by preferred customers generate volume points that add to the volume points generated by the rest of your team. Not only do you get paid on your own preferred customers but you also receive volume points from customers throughout your organization.
The reason this is good, is that you can after a while have an entire organization built around preferred customers and associates who are all purchasing product and generating volume points. These products are consumable so people need to keep buying them and over the years you will continue to get paid no matter what, earning you a LOT of money.

Now if you look at Figure 6, you will see that there is a feature called re-entry. You earn these re-entries when you have 5000 points left and 5000 points right. That’s called maximizing a business center and is great news! Because when you maximize a business center you get a re-entry certificate that allows you to re-enter and place an additional business center somewhere down in your organization. So you can team up with Peg and Jill and they can help build up your left leg, and you work on your right side. You work together as a team because those volume points will help Peg and Jill and go up all the way to your business center BC 001.
You can also receive up to 2 re-entries per business center, so when you get 5000 points on your right and 5000 points on your left for a second time, on your BC 001 you will earn a second re-entry to place somewhere in your business. Each of your re-entry business centers can earn two re-entries as well, when they are maximized too. So over time you will qualify for a LOT of business centers. As you maximize new business centers, you move up the leadership scale. At some point, you reach gold director status and above, and you can receive an additional bonus from 3% of the company’s actual profit. Considering the company’s profit is in excess of 300 million that’s a lot of money
It’s obvious we’re not just talking about traditional income where you trade hours for dollars; we’re talking about residual or re-occurring income based on the efforts of everyone in your organization. This is why there is a personal volume requirement which helps associates continue to move and sell products to end users.
The personal volume requirement means you generate only 100 sales volume points to keep one of your business centers active and only 200 sales volume points to keep all of your business centers active no matter how many you have. But just from the products that I use myself, it generates enough sales volume to keep all my business centers active. But you can also hit your personal volume requirements by making orders for your own local customers as long as you’re moving those products.
By remaining in compliance with the associate agreement and generating the required personal sales volume you qualify to earn commission cheques. To become an associate you need to enter into the associate agreement and purchase the business development system. It costs $50 USD for full version and $20 for the electronic version. It is a very valuable and one of the best training programs I have ever come across. It also contains a starter kit all in one. This is a blueprint for getting your business started, and I highly recommend it. You activate a business center by placing an order for your customers and personal use for 150 points.
Now I’m going to show you a way to double your earning potential right from the start. USANA lets you start with 3 business centers, as in Figure 6.
You can have 2 people placed below your BC 002 and 2 people placed under your BC 003, for a total of 4 across your front line. Now you might not go out and find four of your front line right away but say over time you have 4 legs and they have each generated 1000 points in sales volume in each leg, at the end of that week it means you will make 200 point commission checks on your BC 002 and a 200 point commission check on your BC003. The volume from your BC002 and BC003 will roll up and pay you a 400 point commission check on your BC 001. Add all that together, that’s 800 commission points for that week and all you moved was 4000 volume points!
On the other hand if you only had one business center, you would have earned only a 400 point commission check
. So with 3 business centers you have the potential to earn double what you would have earned with 1 business center in the same scenario. Needless to say activating 3 business centers allows you to maximize your earning potential, and that’s why most successful associates choose to activate 3 business centers. The way to activate 3 business centers is by generating 450 sales volume points worth of products. There are also discount packages that generate enough volume on their sale that they activate 3 business centers. The bottom line is that you need to get started by activating 3 business centers, or if all else fails 1 business center.
